The team at the wound clinic were kind and very caring on my visits. They dressed my wounds on each visit and explained the healing process in detail. The difficult part was getting an appointment. Although the service was operated from my doctors surgery, I had to have a referral from my doctor. My doctors surgery could not offer me an appointment as they said doctors don't see patients with a wound. And so it went on, and on After a week, I managed to get a cancellation appt with the wound clinic team.

The service I received from the wound clinic, and am still receiving, was, and is amazing..

The initial wait was not too long, and once I had advised of the condition/incident, it was treated relatively quickly. The only issue was that the wound, which was a number of dog bites, were not dressed and I was given the dressing and told to do it myself.

Maybe the dressing and cleaning of the wound could’ve been done whilst I attended the walk-in centre

I suffer with anxiety & depression. Undergoing an ultrasound was daunting as I was worried that at my age, medical problems maybe found. The staff were very reassuring and nothing untoward was found.

From entering the building the service was excellent. The reception staff very informative on roughly how long the wait was. The nurse was wonderful explaining everything and the Dr who then phoned me was very helpful. Thank you

I found the place crowded and overwhelming. I was told to take a seat but there was no indication as to which area I should go to. I waited for 45mins after my appt time. People were crammed in and were summoned by staff coming out and bellowing a name. When I was called I heard my name but couldn’t tell where it was coming from. The nurse I eventually saw was lovely but I wouldn’t call the whole process dignified. I would suggest several smaller sitting areas, one for each clinic or medical specialism. And the staff could come to that area and call the person’s name in a less intimidating manner.

I have a breathing problem

Unfortunately it's not your fault there is a long waiting time it's my doctor making you wait 4 or 5 weeks from a appointment. This is not acceptable when you need urgent treatment
